MOVIE REVIEW: David Brent: Life on the Road

David Brent: Life on the Road catches up with the king of cringe David Brent twelve years after he was made redundant from Wernham Hogg and unfortunately for poor old Brent things haven’t exactly worked out well for him.

After spending time in a facility suffering with depression he is now working in another office as a sales rep for a cleaning company but David hasn’t given up on his dream of becoming a rock star.

Determined to make his dream a reality the desperate-to-be-liked Brent sets out on a self-funded tour of the UK with his new look band Foregone Conclusion.

What follows is a laugh out loud comedy where David Brent continually puts his foot in it with his inappropriate jokes as he tries to hit the big time.

One of the funniest scenes in the brilliant film is when the cringe worthy Brent gets a tattoo in a desperate attempt to appear cool.

The story is utter genius and Ricky Gervais is at his absolute best as he makes you laugh out loud one minute and then pulls at your heart strings the next.

David Brent: Life on the Road is without doubt the funniest film of the year and a must watch for any comedy fans.

RATING 5/5.

David Brent: Life on the Road is in cinemas now.
